BSides Tirol is the community conference for cybersecurity in the Alps. On Thursday, 25 February 2027, we will bring offensive and defensive security, research, real-world experience and a curious community together at WKO Tirol in Innsbruck.
We are looking for technical depth, fresh perspectives and honest stories from the field. First-time speakers are welcome.
What we are looking for
We welcome submissions about subjects including:
- offensive security and red teaming
- defensive security, incident response and threat detection
- application, cloud and infrastructure security
- hardware, embedded systems, IoT and operational technology
- privacy
- OSINT and threat intelligence
- security research, tools and emerging techniques
- human factors, security culture and lessons learned
- artificial Intelligence and machine learning in cyber security
Tell us about something you built, broke, investigated or learned. Successful projects are welcome, but so are failed experiments and unexpected results so the audience can learn from them.
Commercial presentations, product demonstrations and sales pitches will not be accepted.
Session formats
- Talk: 30 minutes, including time for questions
- Lightning Talk: 10 minutes
Talks may be presented in German or English.
Your submission
The abstract will be used in the public programme if your proposal is accepted. It should explain clearly what your session is about and why somebody should attend.
The longer description is primarily for the review team. Please tell us what you intend to cover, the expected level of prior knowledge and what participants will take away from the session.
You may use the private notes field for information that should only be visible to the organisers, such as special equipment, scheduling restrictions or accessibility requirements.
How we select sessions
Proposals will be evaluated based on clarity, relevance, originality, practical value and their contribution to a varied programme.
We particularly encourage submissions from first-time speakers. If your proposal is accepted, we will be happy to help you prepare your presentation.
All speakers and attendees must follow the BSides Tirol Code of Conduct (CoC).
